A Software Engineering Student from PoU,
Enthusiasm in Techno real-world
In 2022, a passionate and curious student embarked on a journey at Pokhara University , enrolling in the Software Engineering program. From the very beginning, they were driven by a deep enthusiasm for technology—not just in its form, but in its function. What fascinated them most was not only how things looked on the surface but how they worked under the hood. With a strong desire to understand the mechanics behind software systems, they dove into coding, system design, and emerging technologies. From experimenting with small projects to contributing to team assignments, they constantly sought to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings. Whether it was learning new programming languages, exploring artificial intelligence, or building user-friendly applications, their motivation was rooted in making technology both functional and impactful. Now progressing through their academic journey, this software engineering student continues to grow as a thoughtful innovator, eager to turn ideas into reality and solve real-world problems through smart and effective tech solutions.
A basic client-server chat application that allows multiple users to send and receive text messages in real-time. The client and server communicate using Java sockets. The server listens for incoming connections and handles multiple clients using threads. Java Socket and ServerSocket are used for communication between client and server. Each client runs on a separate thread to allow simultaneous conversations. Used to send and receive messages (BufferedReader, PrintWriter). Listens for connections, handles incoming messages. Connects to the server, sends and receives messages. Supports multiple users chatting at the same time. Java, Console/GUI (Swing for GUI version)
To provide a secure, easy-to-use platform where users can vote electronically in an election. Voters and admins have separate logins. Voters can vote only once. Add candidates, view results, manage users. Shows live or final vote counts. HTML/CSS, JavaScript (or JavaFX for desktop version) PHP, Java, or Python MySQL/PostgreSQL for storing users, votes, and results Password hashing, session control, vote uniqueness School elections Club or small community polls
To visually represent the planets of the solar system and their orbits around the sun. Planets rotate around the sun at different speeds. Sizes and distances are scaled for simplicity. Users can learn planet names, orbits, and features. Java with JavaFX or Swing for graphics and animation. HTML5 Canvas with JavaScript animations. Information pop-ups when clicking on a planet Zoom in/out and rotation control Day/Night cycle visuals
